PRC Europe 2026 takes place on 18-19 May in Amsterdam as the 10th anniversary edition. The Congress brings downstream leaders together for two days of business exchange that extends into informal conversations during coffee breaks and networking receptions.
Downstream companies face pressure to cut emissions, secure reliable supply and accelerate project delivery. Recently, Resynergi (a California-based advanced plastic recycling technology developer) has launched the commercial offering of its proprietary Resynergi Modules, supplied and supported by innovation partner Lummus Technology (Houston). The collaboration results in a modular technology that transforms plastic waste into pyrolysis oil with reduced CO2 emissions, offering rapid deployment and scalability for the industry. Such developments show how fast the sector is moving and why direct exchange across the value chain is essential – meeting peers who face the same challenges, testing approaches and building partnerships that lead to action. PRC Europe 2026 creates this environment.
In 2026, PRC Europe marks its 10th anniversary. This edition reflects how far the sector has moved in ten years. From the first conversations on efficiency to today’s debates on hydrogen, digitalisation and circularity, PRC Europe tracks the industry’s own transformation and provides a space to see that shift in motion.
Quality interactions
Each year, PRC Europe gathers more than 400 delegates, creating a space for business exchange as well as informal connection. Participants value the format that gives time for real dialogue. Breaks and receptions are long enough for conversations to continue while participants enjoy food, drinks and networking at each corner of the venue.
Markus Hartung, Vice President, Head of Region EMEA & Global Commercial Processes at Evonik Operations GmbH, notes: “Networking opportunities are fantastic at the conference. The breaks are longer than usual, which is perfect because over drinks and food you can connect with people. You can talk.” According to other feedback, these informal moments often deliver insights as meaningful as the official sessions.
Diversity of contacts
For a decade, PRC Europe has brought together decision-makers from across the energy value chain, each time in a new European venue. This edition is no exception. It comes to Amsterdam in 2026, a city at the heart of European energy flows and international trade, making it a fitting location for the anniversary.
Annual participants highlight the variety of companies and professionals they meet in every host region. Milica Folić, Product Line Director, Clean Fuels & Chemicals at Topsoe A/S, recalls: “I think it was a mix of people – maybe companies we’ve known before, but not necessarily the people. And certain new companies we managed to schedule meetings with during the Congress [in 2025].”
For her, the focus on Italy was especially valuable: “Many participants were from this region, which was an added bonus. From within the region you really got an excellent presence.” Depending on delegates’ needs, the region’s strengths and its industry focus, each edition is placed in the most fitting venue. This variety helps delegates compare strategies, test assumptions and expand networks across markets.
From dialogue to cooperation
During the Congress, conversations go beyond exchange of views. Technology providers sit with EPCs to outline implementation steps. Operators discuss supply options with licensors. In the B2B area, meetings evolve into practical cooperation where ideas are tested and solutions mapped. Insights from these discussions guide technical decisions and strengthen strategies in ongoing projects.
PRC Europe 2026 invites delegates to Amsterdam with concrete takeaways: new partners, sharper benchmarks and lessons that translate into execution plans.
As the Congress marks its 10th anniversary edition, it continues to be the place where strategic dialogue meets practical cooperation across the downstream value chain.
