Dr Philipp Nellessen took over as CEO and managing director of Doppstadt Beteiligungs GmbH (DBG) on 1 July 2025. The DBG benefits from his international expertise and many years of experience in various industries. In addition, the 48-year-old holds the position of spokesman of the management board.
Dr Philipp Nellessen has held leading positions at various subsidiaries of Thyssenkrupp AG, among others. As CEO Middle East Africa and Sub-Sahara Africa at Thyssenkrupp Industrial Solutions, the 48-year-old impressively demonstrated his leadership qualities on the international stage. As COO of the LEAG Group, he played a key role in expanding the energy supplier’s portfolio. In addition, the civil engineer led the development of LEAG’s subsidiaries. The LEAG Group is one of Germany’s largest energy suppliers.
Decisive impetus
In his new position as CEO and managing director of the DBG, Dr Philipp Nellessen seeks to give fresh impetus to the company. “I am looking forward to the new challenge and a trusting working relationship,“ says the 48-year-old. “As an internationally established solution provider, Doppstadt enjoys an excellent reputation in the industry. I want to build on these important foundations and strategically lead the brand and the company into the future.”
He succeeds Dr Konrad Kerres, who has announced his departure from the DBG at the end of 2025. Kerres will focus on his responsibilities at RBG GmbH and LIG GmbH in the future: “Dr Philipp Nellessen has extensive experience in various industrial sectors, many years of expertise in strategy development and has been responsible for operational tasks at an international level. We are convinced that he will lead the Doppstadt Group competently.”
