Two new Hitachi’s serving Gruppo Panarese

Gruppo Panarese

Gruppo Panarese, based in the province of Lecce, Italy, is a reference point in the earthmoving, road works, concrete and asphalt conglomerates sectors. It is a solid company, born of a long family tradition and now in its second and third generations, in which the FratelliPanarese represent the glue between children and grandchildren, keeping the roots alive and guiding the generational transition with vision.

The company boasts an operating fleet of 11 machines, recently enriched with the purchase of two Hitachi signature vehicles: the ZX490LCN-7 crawler excavator and the ZW310-7 wheel loader. Two latest-generation models, chosen to ensure high performance, reliability and versatility in the company’s daily operations.

The supply operation was handled by KMI, the official Hitachi dealer of the Iusi Group, which closely followed each phase through its affiliated company Bamac and the direct expertise of Oronzo Salvatore Giuliano, who is active right in the Salento area.

ZX490LCN-7: power and precision for heavy-duty work

The ZX490LCN-7 is an excavator of over 50,000 kg operating weight, equipped with a 296 kW Isuzu 6WG1 Stage V engine, designed to tackle heavy-duty jobs while reducing fuel consumption by up to 11 percent thanks to the HIOS V hydraulic circuit.

With a maximum outreach of 10,460 mm, a digging depth of 5,790 mm, and a bucket breakout force of 300 kN and 225 kN at the penetration arm, the ZX490LCN-7 proves ideal for deep digging and material loading tasks in harsh environments. On board, the operator can count on a quiet and comfortable cab equipped with an adjustable console, multifunction controller, high-resolution screen and Air Angle system with 270-degree view, as well as LED lights and increased mirrors for maximum operational safety.

ZW310-7: maximum productivity and comfort in the quarry

Alongside the excavator, Gruppo Panarese chose the Hitachi ZW310-7 wheel loader, a 24,190-kilogram machine equipped with a 232-kW (316-hp) Cummins L9 Stage V engine, which ensures fast response, consistent power and optimal efficiency in load cycles.

The loader offers a standard bucket capacity of up to 4.3 m³, a breakout force of 172 kN and a payload that makes it perfect for handling aggregates and bulk materials. Thanks to the Intelligent Power Control system, the machine automatically adapts power to the type of work, optimizing performance and keeping fuel consumption down. The operator is supported by a new-generation cab with improved visibility, integrated joystick, rear camera and 8-inch high-definition monitor.

“We needed machines that were reliable, efficient, and up to the task of our daily activities,” stresses Angelo Panarese, one of the company’s contact persons. “The ZX490LCN-7 excavator and the ZW310-7 loader turned out to be perfect choices, both in terms of power and operator comfort. The support of KMI and the Bamac team has been crucial at every stage, from consulting to after-sales service.”

With the introduction of these two Hitachi machines, Gruppo Panarese confirms its commitment to technological innovation and operational efficiency, without ever losing sight of the family values that underpin them.
